Congressman Hank Johnson has represented Georgia’s 4th Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives since 2007 (110th Congress-Present). Johnson is a member of the Judiciary Committee. His Judiciary subcommittee assignments include Courts, Intellectual Property, and the Internet (ranking member); Administrative State, Regulatory Reform, and Antitrust; and Crime and Federal Government. He also serves on the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee where he is a member of the Aviation; Highways and Transit; Railroads, Pipelines, and Hazardous Materials subcommittees. Before his tenure in Congress, Johnson was a lawyer and served as a magistrate’s court judge before being elected to the DeKalb County Commission. Johnson earned a bachelor’s degree from Clark College (now Clark Atlanta University) and a Juris Doctor degree from Texas Southern University’s Thurgood Marshall School of Law.
