Congresswoman Denise Majette served as a representative of Georgia’s 4th Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives from 2003 to 2005 (108th Congress). She was a member of the Budget, Education and Workforce, and Small Business committees. A lawyer and professor, Majette served as a judge for the Georgia State Court for nearly ten years before joining Congress. Majette received her bachelor’s degree from Yale University and her law degree from Wake Forest Law School.
